Hockey Men’s World Cup 2018 at Bhubaneswar,Odisha; Book Online ticket

This is an honor of our state that the Men’s Hockey World Cup 2018 is scheduled to be held from 28 November to 16 December 2018 at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.

The opening ceremony is scheduled on 28th at Cuttack and 27th on Bhubaneswar. Don’t miss the performance from AR Rahman, Sharukh Khan.

This is a 19-days Tournament. Total of 16 countries will be participating in the tournament & 36 matches will play during this tournament. This Name of the Countries are participating here are India,  Germany, Netherlands, England, Spain, Pakistan, Malaysia, Ireland, Argentina, Australia, Belgium, France, China, South Africa, Canada, and New Zealand. Manpreet Singh (age -26 years) from Punjab is the Captain of India Hockey team. Chinglensana Singh Kangujam (age -26 years) from Manipur is the  Vice-Captain.

This Tournament is hosted by country India and International Hockey Federation. Online ticket for the Odisha Hockey Men’s World Cup Bhubaneswar-2018, started from 20th November at 12 PM. Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Monday bought the first ticket for the opening ceremony of the Men’s Hockey World Cup and paid Rs. 500.

Around 10,500 tickets would be sold for the inaugural ceremony in Bhubaneswar and 30,000 tickets will be sold for the November 28 event at Barabati Stadium.

AR Rahman will be performing both at the Opening Ceremonies on 27th November and at the World Cup Celebrations event on 28th November 2018. Other Bollywood celebrities will perform at both the events

How to reach Kalinga Stadium Bhubaneswar:

Kalinga Stadium is 5.3km away from Bhubaneswar Airport, Odisha. Flight travelers can book cab or taxi. It takes hardly 15 minutes to reach the Stadium.

If you are traveling by train, Stadium is 4.2km from Bhubaneswar Railway station and 6.7km from the bus stand.
